The Print Workshop is a mid-sized Shopify store selling custom-printed merchandise — apparel, accessories, and home goods. Before implementing Aris Product Options, their order intake process involved a Shopify order with minimal details, followed by a customer service email exchange to collect the actual personalization requirements.

The problem

Each custom order required 2–4 email exchanges before production could begin. With 80–120 orders per week, this created a full-time support workload just for intake. Errors from misunderstood specs cost time and material. Customers were frustrated by delays.

The solution

The team built a structured product form using Aris Product Options that captured every required specification at the point of purchase: print type, file upload, color preferences, dimensions, placement notes, and delivery instructions. Conditional logic ensured that fields only appeared when relevant.
We went from 4 support emails per order to an average of 0.6. The form captures everything we need at purchase. Production starts same-day now.

The results

  • 60% reduction in support tickets related to order specifications
  • 10+ hours per week recovered from intake email handling
  • Average time-to-production decreased from 2.3 days to 0.8 days
  • Customer satisfaction score improved from 4.1 to 4.7 stars
